These limited-edition
red glass bell paperweights were cast in the original Fenton Artists'
mold used to produce recognition items for Theodore Vail, the first
president
of New England Telephone (1883) and AT&T. The words "Bell System" are embossed on the sides of this 2" tall by
2-1/4" wide bell. It features the embossed words, "Ver-Tel-Front Annual
Meeting – Tampa 2004" on the bottom with the Pioneer logo. Each bell is handcast,
inspected, stamped and the date stamp destroyed. Regularly $12.95. Now

Golf Ball Drop!
The Maryland Chapter TelecomPioneers are holding a
Golf Ball Drop fundraising event
at Maple Run Golf Course on
Friday, September 12, 2008
in connection with our Annual Golf Tournament. The Tickets are $5.00 a piece and that will get you a golf
ball with a number on it. On September 12, we will drop 500 or more
golf balls from a bucket truck onto a putting green. The closest
ball to the pin will win $500.00, the next 10 balls will win $50.00
each and the next 25 balls will win $25.00 each. That is a total of
36 winners. The prize money is based on the number of tickets sold,
so the prizes could change. Please help us raise funds for our
educational projects.
